Wilson Smith

Wilson Smith (21 June 1897 - 10 July 1965), distinguished in bacteriology.

On joining the National Institute for Medical Research Wilson Smith began working on the viruses of vaccinia and herpes under S. R. Douglas. His researches were directed towards elucidating the mechanism of protection which immunized animals acquire against virus infections.
