                                The account of Cyclocylypeus is
an original investigation of no
less value - from its throwing a
remarkable light upon the nature
and relations of the ancient
Nummulite -
Finally, the effectual overthrow
which Dr Carpenter has given
to M. D’Orbigny’s confused &
confusing system of classification
is not the least of the merits of his
paper -
Dr Carpenters illustrations are
perhaps somewhat luxuriant
