                                to one fourth of the 1st. term. For these reasons,
I think it is greatly to be wished that every 
process of this difficult investigation should
be most clearly explained -
I remark on page 7 of the paper, that the 
Author proposes to prepare a fuller de-
=velopment of this investigation and of 
others related to it - I would therefore re-
=commend to the council,
That the paper now presented be 
printed in full in the monthly notices,
That, if the council understand that 
no further communication will be made to the 
society, this pr. be printed in the Phil. Trans.
That the council do however commu-
=nicate with Mr Adams requesting a 
more detailed investigation, and that 
if they understand that such an in-
=vestigation will be furnished to them,
the present paper be <u> not <\u> printed in the 
Phil. Trans.
