(Signed) J.B.S.HALDANE I should be glad if you would communicate to Dr Turing the fact that Dr Pontecorvo, of Glasgow University, is obtaining fungal cultures whose boundaries are determined by the diffusion of substance including morphogens produced by other fungi, in the medium. The results in no way anticipate those of the paper here reviewed, but have some bearing on it. Pontecorvo would be glad of Dr Turing's help in interpreting the results.
