I hope Mr<\sup> Linus’s friends will acquiesce in
ye<\sup> late tryall of ye<\sup> Expt<\sup> in defait, for ye<\sup>
procurement of Wch<\sup> & for sending them no-
tice of ye<\sup> event, I return you my hearty
thanks, as I have reason. I perceive I
went upon a wrong supposition in what I wrote
concerning Mr<\sup> Boyles expt<\sup>. The papers in yor<\sup>
hand I have no present need of: You may send
them at yor<\sup> best leisure. Sometime this sommer
it’s possible I may make use of them, if I can
but get some time to write ye<\sup> other discourses
about ye<\sup> colours of ye<\sup> Prism wch<\sup> I have long
intended. Sr<\sup> I am
Yor<\sup> humble & obliged
Servant
