                                valuable on such an occasion, that I may 
be allowed the Assistance of Lieutenant Ludlow 
who has expressed his readiness to take part 
in the observation. I have the honor further 
to request that the hire of a Bullock Bandy 
to carry the instruments, together with our 
travelling expenses may be allowed.

1 Resolved that the 
Honorable Company’s Astronomer be 
permitted to proceed on duty to Tranquebar 
and that he be supplied by the Com-
missariat with a Bullock Bandy for 
the conveyance of his Instruments.
2 Resolved that Lieutenant 
Ludlow be requested, thro’ the Military 
Department
