
Military 1844 Department No 4 Extract from the Minutes of Consultation. 23rd January 1844. Referred to in Mily. Letter to England dated 26th March 1844 No 16 Para 1 Observing that Lieutt Ludlow, Superintendent of the Magnetic ob- servatory of Madras, appears to have used his best exertions to attain the object of his journey to the Southward. Recd via Southampton 11th May 1844.
