Description

Paper reference code: B.51

Believes the general prinicples are sound, though not really new from a zoological point of view. The paper spends time explaining general principles that are already understood, and the value of the paper is in the photography and analysis of actual fish in motion. Includes detailed comments for amendments to the formulas presented in the appendix.

[Not published in Royal Society journals, but in The Journal of Experimental Biology, edited by James Gray, vol. 10, issue 1, pp. 88-104, 1933].
