Description

Not recommended for publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'. The paper is a excellent piece of work, with 'exceedingly detailed' descriptions, but does not contain new facts or principles. Suggests the Transactions of the Linnean Society or the Zoological Society of London are ore suitable places for publication. Alternately, the author is working on a decription of the Annelids of Britain for the Ray Society which would also be a suitable place for the research. The recommendation against publication by the Royal Society is not a reflection on the quality of the paper or its research.
