Description

The title of the paper implies that further parts are forthcoming. Suggests the current paper and the implied Part II be combined into a single paper. Refers to work by Von Tunzelmann, published in the PRoceedings of the Physical Society for March 1878. Suggests omitting the contradictory paragraph and note. Refers to work of Emil Georg Cohn, William Thomson and Le Roux [?]. Understands that the time taken for mail to arrive from Japan is considerable, and a second paper may be in transit.
