Description

Not recommended for publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'. Publication depends upon whether the conclusions are justified. Refers to work of Albert von Kölliker, Max Johann Sigismund Schultze and George John Romanes. Suggests a fuller histology could have been included. Considers the investigations not of great depth. Considers the conclusions 'too dubious' for the paper to be suited for the Philosophical Transactions. The paper is however interesting in the speculation it raises.
