Wishes to adopt the recommendations of the referees as regards omission of text, but this may necessitate an adjustment of context. Has seen, but not used, the paper by Thomas Edward Thorpe and Arthur William Rucker. Will recalculate his results. Refers to work by Hubbard [?].

Appended note, 13 July 1878, Asking Thomas Edward Thorpe for coefficients, which will be sent to Edward Lawton Moss, who will also receive a proof. Will make the changes to the manuscript himself, before sending to the author for alteration is required.
