Description

Sectional committee: Mathematics

Paper reference code: A89

Recommended for publication in the Philosophical Transactions, unless it can be 'shortened'. Peierls discusses the difficulty in reading this paper, due to the complexity of the problem, the need to cross reference 'between different approximations' and 'bad presentation'. However the paper is interesting and worth publishing. Additional comments and suggestions continued on five separate sheets.

[Published in Philosophical Transactions A, 1953].
