Not recommended for publication in the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society of London'. Does not think the paper contains enough that is 'new or important or interesting'. However, suggests another opinion is sought, in case his own limitations are influencing his opinion. Will be glad if another referee can find value in the paper. The suggested conclusions are not well-founded. The use of yeast extract causes issues with the interpretation. Refers to work of Schneider [?].
