Description

First folio is a letter by Edward Frankland to George Gabriel Stokes who recommends the paper for publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'. Was sent the paper by [Walter Wight], thinks the research is novel and important and written with great care.

The second folio is a note signed by Stokes saying a report is not necessary as the attached letter contains all that is needed to decide for publication.
