Letter from Joseph David Everett, to George Gabriel Stokes, regarding a paper 'Results of observations of atmospheric electricity at Kew Observatory, and at King's College, Windsor, Nova Scotia' by Joseph David Everett
Reference number: RR/6/121
Date: 18 May 1868
Description
Acknowledges receipt of two letters from George Gabriel Stokes. Is pleased to hear the paper on atmospheric electricity has been accepted for publication. Has received, and responded to, a question from Wesley regarding the plates. Apologises that no futher experiments or papers are forthcoming on the subject of rigidity. The apparatus is still in Glasgow, and suggests some of the students of William Thomson, 1st Baron Kelvin may use if for experimentation, but if this happens it will be at least two years before results are ready for publication.
