Description

Sectional Committee: Physics

The issue of where to publish the paper has been discussed with the Chairman, and there is a case for publication in the Proceedings. The work builds on the work of Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman, also published in the Proceedings. Much uncritical publicity given to this work of Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman, and normally the correspondent and Arthur Mannering Tyndall would agree that the paper is more suitable for publication elsewhere. The current paper finishes the matter begun by Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman.
