Recommended for publication in the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society of London', but only as it is a continuation of a previous paper also published in the Proceedings. If this had been the first paper on the subject, it would have been more suitable fo the Journal of the Chemical Society.

Contains extra question - 'Is there any information contained in the paper which likely to be of value to the enemy?' Referee replies thinks not, but an official opinion should be sought, as the relief of pain could be valuable.
