Description

Sectional Committee: Botany

Recommended for publication in the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society of London', if it cannot be published elsewhere. Finds the beginning mostly autobiographical and redundant. In usual circumstances, would not recommend publication, but as the author is old and living in Switzerland, suspects it would be difficult to have the paper shortened. Suggests either sending the paper to the Linnean Society, or publishing it as it stands. Prefers the latter course, unless the details of the current paper have already been covered by the author in earlier works.

Contains extra question - 'Is there any information contained in the paper which likely to be of value to the enemy?' Referee replies no.
