Recommended for publication in the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society of London'. Has doubts as to how far the details can be justified by the experimental observations. It is also difficult to judge how far the conclusions are valid. Suggests either including the arguments for the preserved structures, or producing Fourier projections which are easier to analyse and publish.

Contains extra question - 'Is there any information contained in the paper which likely to be of value to the enemy?' Referee replies no.
