Recommended for publication in the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society of London'. The work is 'important, interesting and well carried out'. The author discusses and interprets the results throughout the paper, rather than concentrating discussion at the end. Suggests the author not use underlining unless for taxonomic naming purposes, and instead should use italics, but only where special emphasis is absolutely necessary. Suggests the author not repeat interpretation for each section of the paper. Refers to work of Walter Holbrook Gaskell. Suggests shortening and recasting the paper.
