Description

Sectional Committee: Mathematics

Recommended for publication in the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society of London'. Has checked some of the formulae and finds them accurate. Is unsure about the novelty of the formulae. Refers to work of Thomas John I'Anson Bromwich, Konrad Hermann Theodor Knopp and James Whitbread Lee Glaisher. Finds the style unprofessional. Finds the paper more suited for the Journal of the London Mathematical Society, but as the author is a Fellow 'I think he should be allowed to please himself'. Makes some comments on the typography.

Contains extra question - 'Is there any information contained in the paper which likely to be of value to the enemy?' Referee replies no.

[Published in the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society of London']
