Description

Sectional Committee: Chemistry

Recommended for publication in the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society of London'. Suggests reducing the length of the discussion and omitting the curve. The referee's students have been undertaking similar research, but using a very different method than that used by the authors of the current paper, and giving discordant results. As such, thinks the paper should be submitted to a different referee. Criticises a comment on transparent silica surfaces.

Contains extra question - 'Is there any information contained in the paper which likely to be of value to the enemy?' Referee replies no.
