Description

Sectional committee: Zoology

Recommended for publication in Philosophical Transactions. It is the first full account of an interesting subject. It could also be printed by the Royal Anthropological Institute, although it is too long for their Proceedings. No funds are available at the moment for special publications. There are some minor redundancies which could be eliminated after careful editing. Some of the descriptive details are unnecessary. The author has passed away, so it is impossible to give suggestions. Therefore, the paper should be published in it's current form.

[Published in Philosophical Transactions B, 1946].

Endorsed on verso as received 20 November 1940.
