Recommended for publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society', only if there is a real advance shown in the process. Wonders if the new process are an advance on existing, simpler ones; suggests asking this question of the author.
Addendum dated 6 July 1863. Has read the author's note [RR/5/255] regarding his earlier question. As the author has more experience in the subject, and has spent longer researching it, the referee is inclined to defer to the author's opinion on the matter. Recommends the paper for publication in the Philosophical Transactions.
