Description

Not recommended for publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'. Refers to work by Jean-Baptiste Dumas and William Hallowes Miller. Builds on previous work by the same author published in the Proceedings for 1860 and 1861, and the Philosophical Transactions for 1861. The experiments are 'defective'. Not recommended for publication in the Proceedings either, due to the majority of it having been published there already as abstracts and preliminary papers.
