Description

Returns previous letter from George Gabriel Stokes [RR/5/154] for reference. Should soon have another brief communication ready on the same subject. If sent on time, asks if it could be read at the Council meeting, which he hopes to attend if so. Is willing to make amends to th existing paper as outlined by the referees, and has 'no desire to be dogmatic'. However, curtailing the paper as suggested by the referee would change the paper completely. Refers to work by Humphrey Davy.
