Description
Sectional Committee: Botany
Alfred Daniel Hall is on holiday. Does not understand the referee's interpretation of the introduction. Reference has been given to Lillie for the thoery; does the referee think that Reginald Ruggles Gates should also be referenced for the theory? Will give the work of Reginald Ruggles Gates a passing mention, but finds his work to be much later than Lillie's, and only incidental to the subject. However, as he does not wish to delay publication further, will insert the proposed wording of the referee, with a footnote or statement to the effect that this was not worded by the author. Encloses responses to the referees, regarding the use of 'x', and reference to Reginald Ruggles Gates.
