Recommended for publication in the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society of London'. 'This is an excellent contribution, involving critical technique and observation and careful discussion...Particular value attaches to the fact that the stages of mitosis to which the x-rays were applied could be so accurately determined, and also that the chromosomes were sufficiently [illegible] to follow the chromonemata'.
