Recommended for publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society', due to the number of illustrations required. Suggests the author could have saved the referee's time by rewriting the heavily corrected pages, or having the manuscript typewritten. The author has not used reference-letters in the description, which will be hard for a reader not familiar with the subject to follow.
