Not recommended for publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'. An identical, or similar results, were published by the late James MacCullagh in the Proceedings of the Irish Academy, 25 January 1847. Is in agreement with George Gabriel Stokes in not recommending the paper for publication.
