Not recommended for publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'. Disagrees with some of the author's conclusions. Suggests the paper could be abridged, and the original paper 'preserved in the archives'. Refers to the work of Pierre Prévost and Jean Baptiste André Dumas [Annales des Sciences Naturelles 1824, Tome II, page 133].
