Description

Recommended for publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'. Suggests difficulties with the gaps in the data. The paper has value in conection with a similar paper by James Glaisher [Transactions of the Royal Society, 1849, part 2], which the author seems to have taken inspiration from. Suggests a comparison of the results obtained by the two papers. Suggests improvements to punctuation, style, repetition and references to the paper by James Glaisher.
