Description

Sectional Committee: Engineering Sciences

Not recommended for publication in the Proceedings of the Royal Society of London. Considers the paper more suitable for the Iron and Steel Institute or the Institute of Metals, where open discussion of papers is more accepted than the Royal Society 'where it is generally known that papers are only published after they have been passed by expert referees who, in the absence of any published criticism by then, may naturally be assumed to have accepted the views and opinions of the authors'. Suggests the authors' produce a shorter paper focusing on the statistical results.
