Referee's report by Ernest Henry Starling, on a paper 'The influence of homodromous and heterodromous electric currents on transmission of excitation in plant and animal' by Jagadis Chunder Bose
Reference number: RR/21/27
Date: 1914

Description
Sectional Committee: Botany and Physiology
Not recommended for publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'. If the paper is reduced by a half it might be suitable for the Proceedings. Suggests the author acquaint himself with recent researches on the subject. The author should supply the original illustrations, not prints from blocks, and should be submitted to a referee before a decision is made regarding publication. The botanical experiments are novel and might be suitable for publication by the Royal Society if written up to a 'proper length'.
