Description

Sectional Committee: Physics and Chemistry

First paper - Not recommended for publication in the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society of London'. Suggests they submit the paper elsewhere. Unsuited to the Proceedings due to its purely technical interest. The paper could cause controversy when published, suggests sending to the Journal of the Society of Chemical Industry, or the Analyst, both being more suitable places for the paper.

Second paper - Recommended for publication in the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society of London'. The method described is interesting but doubts it will be used as extensively as pre-existing, easier methods of determining nitric peroxide. Considers the paper short and definite enough for the Proceedings.
