Description

Sectional Committee: Mathematics

Recommended for publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'. Suggests it might be more suited to a mathematical journal. Does not wish to 'express anything of a hostile opinion' upon the paper just because it 'does not happen to attract my own enthusiasm'. Suggests asking the author to compress the work where possible, especially the calculations from p.120 onwards, which could be lost and replaced with the results. Other calculations could also be lost and replaced with the stated results.
