Description

Sectional Committee: Physics and Chemistry

Recommended for publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'. Similar to author's earlier paper [Phil. Trans. Vol.202, p.335-437]. Suggests, if possible, the paper would form a good appendix to a volume of data measurements from Kew. Otherwise, an abstract in the Proceedings, alongside a paper by Gerald Ponsonby Lenox-Conyngham 'Determination of gravity at Kew'. The close relationship between the Royal Society and the National Physical Laboratory means that publication of their measurements are 'one of general policy'. If the paper is published in the Philosophical Transactions it should be done so in full.
