Description

Sectional Committee: Physics and Chemistry

Recommended for publication in Philosophical Transactions. The theoretical part, pages 58 to 80, might with advantage be shortened. He is unable to follow some of the reasoning but finds on page 82 a statement that the nature of the intermediate bodies is not discovered. The experimental part is of great interest and is well carried out. All the illustrations should be reproduced.

[Published in Philosophical Transactions A, 1904].

Endorsed on verso as received 1 May 1903.
