Referee's report by Daniel John Cunningham, on a paper 'Contributions to the physiology of mammalian reproduction. Parts I & II.' by Francis Hugh Adam Marshall and W A Jolly
Reference number: RR/16/348
Date: June 1905

Description
Sectional Committee: Physiology
The paper is better suited for the Proceedings, but should there be any difficulty in its length or for any other cause, in publishing in the Proceedings, he would recommend it for Philosophical Transactions as he is persuaded it is a paper which should be published by the Royal Society. As the paper is fairly well differentiated into parts there would be no difficulty in publishing these in two consecutive numbers of the 'Proceedings'. Modifications are not necessary. The illustrations are very beautiful and should all be reproduced. Figures one, two, and three of plate one, and figure four of plate two, might be reduced slightly. The other figures would not bear reduction. The paper is of high merit. The second part in particular marks a distinct advance in their knowledge of certain important factors in the physiology of reproduction, and the reasoning from previously ascertained facts is highly original and in most cases Cunningham thinks it more or less conclusive.
