Description

Assessment of a manuscript submitted for publication by the Royal Society, completed by the referee using a standard printed form.

Sectional Committee: Botany

Farmer thinks the paper should not be published in the 'Proceedings'. There would be no advantage arising from its being read in its current form. The author seems to be confused as to the meaning of 'organic substances'. As no attempts were made to isolate and study the probable several different organisms, the work is practically so incomplete as to be valueless.

Recorded in register of papers as withdrawn.

Endorsed on verso as received 23 May 1905.
