Description

Sectional Committee: Botany

Recommended for publication in Philosophical Transactions. The data of section six, page 14, do not sufficiently bring out the important points as presently arranged. The discussion of the data on page 15 is difficult to understand and he would recommend that the columns be numbered to facilitate reference. All the illustrations should be reproduced. There is an unfortunate obscurity of style in some parts of the paper which makes it difficult at times to grasp the exact meaning of the author and he would have preferred to see the paper much condensed. After careful re-perusal Brown concludes that it should be published as it stands although it demands a great strain in the attention of the reader.

[Published in the Philosophical Transactions B, 1906].
