Description

Sectional Committee: Physics and Chemistry

Recommended for publication in the Philosophical Transactions. Illustrations are not discussed. In general the paper is somewhat more lengthy than necessary but not to such an extent that the author should be asked to rewrite it. As a small point he notes it is hardly possible to speak of winter months at Batavia [colonial name of the capital of the Dutch East Indies, now Jakarta, Indonesia], only six degrees from the equator.

[Published in the Philosophical Transactions A, 1904].

Endorsed on verso as received 3 March 1904.
