Description

Sectional committee: Zoology

Not recommended for publication in the Philosophical Transactions, in full. It could instead be published by the Zoological Society or Geological Society with the illustrations, as making an interesting contribution to zoology, in continuation of the evidence of the large size of lemurs of Madagascar. The characters of the skull and teeth having been given in the Philosophical Transactions 1894, the occurance of teeth, 'however beautiful', indicating a skull one third larger does not constitute a distinct step in the advancement of knowledge. Recommends the paper be withdrawn if the Committee should not regard it as suitable for publication.

[Published in Philosophical Transactions, 1900].

Endorsed on verso as received 3 March 1900.
