Description

Sectional Committee: not stated.

He sends a paper by Dr M Wilderman for presentation to the Society, together with curves belonging to the paper and an abstract for the same [no attachments]. The paper is the result of three years patient work by Wilderman, carried out in the Davy-Faraday laboratory and he thinks it a most valuable contribution to their knowledge of the very difficult subject he has undertaken to study.

Knowing the present difficulties of the Society in finding space for the publication of long papers, he has impressed upon the author to cut his paper as short as possible and he assured him that he has done so as far as is possible. If the Committee should desire to have the paper further curtailed for publication in Transactions, the author is very willing to comply with any suggestions made to him. The author considers it very desirable to have the curves published in the abstract if possible, and will send Lamor copies of these curves reduced in size for this purpose.
