Recommended for publication in Philosophical Transactions, in full. Illustrations four and six are largely duplicates of the same and figure four is wrongly described. With some modification of illustration four, illustration six will be unnecessary. He has annotated the paper in red ink with various queries and alterations, which the author should attend to, before it is fit to go to the press.
