Sectional Committee: Physics and Chemistry

Recommended for publication in Philosophical Transactions, with no modifications. All the illustrations should be reproduced. The paper is of real importance as a comparison of the International System of units and the Kew Magnetic units. An effort should be made to clear up the cause of the difference observed and he hopes to arrange for this.
