Description

Sectional committee: [Physics and chemistry]

It has been decided that the paper cannot be published unless he can deal satisfactorily with the referee's objections. If he can provide proofs of the two proposition referred to, the will be considered. The Society cannot allow the paper to go out of its custody for an indefinite time and if he does not think he can deal with the difficulty quickly, it would be better that the paper be deposited in the archive and if he can at some future time present it in a satisfactory form, it will be treated as a new memoir. If he would like the paper, Harrison will send it but it must be returned without modification, the proofs being submitted separately. In any case the paper should be returned before 1 July.
