Description

Sectional Committee: Physics and chemistry

Recommended for publication in Philosophical Transactions or Proceedings, in full. Some small alterations or additions should be made. All the illustrations should be reproduced. The plate, though advisable, is not absolutely necessary. The paper is precisely similar to that published last year in the 'Proceedings' volume LXVII, pages 58-84, with the exception that in the present series the caesium salt shows a very marked and sensitive dispersion to which the author devotes five additional pages of description and a plate. On the other hand there is nothing corresponding to the second page of the preceding memoir. The dispersion is exactly like that of the caesium-magnesium sulphate described by the author in the 'Journal of the Chemical Society' volume 69, page 368, where, instead of a plate, reference is made to volume 65, page 691, where there is a plate closely resembling the present one. The paper suffers from the author's 'usual prolixity' of style but contains no irrelevant matter and the observations are almost all new, and all are important.
