Recommended for publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'. The paper is 'tedious to read' but this is the nature of the subject matter. Suggests the author append a summary of conclusions, with reference to the main body of the text where necessary. Refers to work of H Weiske and A Wicke, to whose work the author should be referred. Refers to work of Moraczewski. Finds an error in the abstract which is not present in the full manuscript.
